Jeanne Marie Roland was a revolutionary whose letters and memoirs became famous for recording the state of mind that conditioned the events leading to the revolution. Princesse de Lamballe was an Italian noblewoman and member of the Houe of Savoy, and married a very wealthy French nobleman. Madame de Genlis was known for her novels, journals, and theories on children's education.
