Book has dark green spine title and illustration on frt cover. Tidy Christmas gift ded on age-toned fep. Original, price-clipped, repaired dust wrapper shows partial loss of title and publisher on spine ends, very light surface soil but still displays well in new mylar. Author Dawn Dodd was all of thirteen-years-old when she penned this story which begins with a poem she wrote for 'Jerry'. Adorable story of John and his first pony whom he competed and fox hunted on with much success until he grew taller and rode other ponies, keeping a special place in his heart, always, for his first love, pony Jerry.
