Of the Defences of Women by Jack Donne written about 1600, with some pen and ink drawings made by Norman Lindsay about 1925 for decorations the sixth book printed by the Fanfrolico Press, fecerunt J.L. & W.J.H. This is no. 71 of 370. A history of the press The Fanfrolico Press; Satyrs, Fauns & Fine Books, by John Arnold was published by the Private Libraries Association in 2009. Here is some commentary from that history relating to this book White laid Bachelor hand-made paper. 370 numbered copies. Full brown buckram, title and author in gold on the spine. Published April 1930. Hand-set and printed by Jack Lindsay and W. J. Hatton. The somewhat square format of the book was the result of Jack Lindsay using offcuts of paper used for Women in Parliament. This slight book is in fine condition.

No writing or bookstore stamps.
