Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Urinary incontinence has been described as the most widespread yet least known and understood affliction in society today. This problem can seriously impact on your lifestyle, professional career, emotional wellbeing, exercise activity and your sex life. In Conquering Incontinence Peter Dornan gets behind the stigma and misunderstandings to help you to overcome or further improve your problem. There are a range of different treatment options currently available. Standard pelvic floor exercises are usually prescribed but Peter Dornan has added to that and developed, through first-hand experience and research, an innovative and physical program that helped him conquer his own urinary incontinence. Conquering Incontinence describes a new and physical technique that promotes increased circulation, enhances neuromuscular reflex activity of the urinary system and improves muscular control of the abdominal and pelvic regions to help you actively combat urinary incontinence. Follow the program of simple physical exercises and build up to a more vigorous routine as your strength increases. If you or someone you know suffers from urinary incontinence, Conquering Incontinence, written by an experienced physiotherapist who has been there, done that', will be an invaluable resource. Primarily a self-help guide for men and women suffering from urinary incontinence, professionals working in the field will also find this book useful. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.

Secondhand, Paperback. [Author], [Publisher]. NB: This is a secondhand book in very good condition. See our FAQs for more information. Author: Peter Dornan Format: Paperback Number of Pages: 272 Nicky Barr never deliberately sought danger or adventure, but when confronted with it he had the courage to face it-and survive. In 1939, at the age of 23, Nicky Barr was chosen to represent Australia in the international rugby world tour. The day after the squad arrived in England, war was declared and the tour was cancelled. Nicky immediately signed-up to become a fighter pilot in the RAAF and while fighting Rommel's famed Afrika Korp in North Africa, quickly rose through the ranks to become squadron leader. In the space of twelve months, Nicky shot down over twelve enemy planes, and was himself shot down three times. The third time, he was seriously wounded, then captured and sent to Italy as a hospitalised prisoner of war. Nicky escaped four times-including once from a moving train. On the fourth escape he successfully evaded recapture and, together with a group of special operation commandoes, took part in a series of clandestine operations behind enemy lines and helped fellow prisoners of war escape. Nicky Barr earned a reputation amongst allies and enemies alike for his acts of bravery, his selflessness, his dogged determination and his infectious sense of humour. His is a story of adventure, war, courage and mortality, and the love for his wife that sustained him through it all. Secondhand, Paperback.

Paperback. Condition: New. 3., revised edition. Much has been written on the 19171920 revolution in Ukraine, on the national movement, the Makhnovists and the Bolsheviks. Yet there were others with a mass following whose role has faded from history books. One such party was the Borotbisty, the heirs of the mass Ukrainian Party of Socialist-Revolutionaries, an independent party seeking to achieve national liberation and social emancipation. Though widely known in revolutionary Europe in their day, the Borotbisty were decimated during the Stalinist holocaust in Ukraine. Out of print for over half a century, this lost text by Ivan Maistrenko, the last survivor of the Borotbisty, provides a unique account on this party and its historical role. Part memoir and part history, this is a thought-provoking book which challenges previous approaches to the revolution and shows how events in Ukraine decided the fate not only of the Russian Revolution but the upheavals in Europe at the time.
