Closed tears to brown wraps at head and foot of spine. Bottom corner of top blue wrap chipped; paper loss to bottom corner of rear blue wrap. Evidence of light moisture damage to boards, a couple spots of puckered cloth, stain to rear cover. Leather rubbed at extremities. Raised bands on spine, ruled in gilt at top and bottom of compartments; lettering in gilt. Edges speckled red. Starting at gutters; boards secure. Each title lacking original blue wraps (presumably removed for re-bind). Leaf 153 / 54 disbound from 1872, laid in. Leaf 79 / 80 of 1874 wrinkled. Occasional closed tear at margins. Otherwise internally bright and clean. An exceedingly important collection of reports which detail the beginning of Library and Archives Canada under Douglas Brymner.
