Riguardando i negativi ho trovato nuove immagini che ora mi piacciono, ma che in quel momento avevo trascurato o non avevo usato per ragioni che ora mi disorientano. Ho finito con 250 fotografie cui ora penso come all'archivio di Isle of Man. Questa nuova versione di Isle of Man viene da quell'archivio. Le fotografie di questa edizione mantengono, pių o meno, lo stesso ordine del libro originale, ma ho cambiato alcune delle immagini, ne ho aggiunte altre trenta, e le ho stampate tutte pių grandi" (Chris Killip). Alla fine del 2016 il figlio di Chris Killip ha scoperto per caso una scatola di fogli a contatto con le foto che il padre aveva fatto al The Station, un locale di musica anarco-punk di Gateshead aperto dal 1981 al 1985. Queste immagini di una gioventų cruda, colta nella foga dei festeggiamenti, erano rimaste sopite per 30 anni; ora tornano a vivere in questo libro. La Station non era solo uno spazio per la musica e le prove, ma un crogiolo per l'autoespressione delle sottoculture e della politica punk dell'epoca.Come ricorda Killip: "Quando andai per la prima volta alla Station nell'aprile del 1985, rimasi stupito dall'energia e dall'atmosfera del posto. Era totalmente diverso, gestito per e dalle persone che lo frequentavano. Ogni sabato che potevo, fotografavo lė. Nessuno mi ha mai chiesto da dove venissi o chi fossi. Un trentanovenne con i capelli bianchi tagliati, sempre in giacca e cravatta, con le tasche cucite all'interno della giacca per contenere le diapositive. Era il 1985 ed era appena finito lo sciopero dei minatori e c'era molta disoccupazione giovanile.
