Condition: Fair. 1940. First Edition. 382 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Plastic laminate over spine. Ex-Library copy, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Pages are lightly tanned with a few small nicks and rub marks along text block edge. Moderate dog-eare…d corners, with occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Slight cracking to hinges, with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with notable bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and considerate rub wear to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a subtle forward lean.
