No library markings; no ownership name or writing. Christian Thomasius (1655-1728) was German jurist and philosopher. Wikipedia: He lectured in German instead of Latin; his scholarship marks the beginning of the Enlightenment in Germany; he took the side of the Pietists; defended mixed marriages of Lutherans and Calvinists; also between Lutherans and members of the Reformed church. He helped found the University of Halle in 1694 (Berlin). He was influenced by Spener and the Pietists.
