Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. This book is born out of a wide range of practical experience of more than 20 years in working with people training for the ministry of spiritual direction. Spiritual direction recognises that there is an energy in life that moves a person outwards and influences the direction taken. The foc…us of the ministry is to help the person notice those movements and make good choices that enhance the Christ-like quality of life. It acknowledges that the Holy Spirit is the primary director. See God act.The book seeks to provide a broader vision of the ministry drawing on insights from spirituality, scripture and psychology. These bring a fuller understanding of the person created by God, capable of knowing and responding to God. It acknowledges that many of the difficulties that arise in the direction of life are at the human, not the faith, level. Patterns are laid down in early life and can continue into adulthood. This can be so without much awareness of their source, though their influence may be evident. Even in a prayerful reflective life, further help may be needed to bring greater freedom from unconscious influences. Moreover, freedom is a key mediator to facilitate moving on to accept the gifts God offers.Life is dynamic, not static, involving an inner and an outer journey. We live in relationships with God, self, others and all creation. Jesus is active in life and meets people where they are but does not leave them there. The invitation is onwards. Attention is drawn to, and there is an exploration of the dynamics involved in the different relationships to bring greater clarity to them. The experience of working with people has highlighted the need of this development. Prayer that comes out of life and flows back into life is key to this. May the book inspire you to navigate your ongoing journey in the Lord in an integrated way. This book is born out of a wide range of practical experience of more than 20 years in working with people training for the ministry of spiritual direction. Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. "In the final analysis, our lives are defined by how we meet challenges, obstacles, and barriers. Beyonfire gives us all a road map to follow and much to think about."-Jim Stovall, best-selling author (The Ultimate Gift), movie producer, Emmy Award winner, International Humanitarian of the Y…ear Award winner"Sometimes certain treasures end up being discovered in places and moments you least expect them. This book ended up being an example of that truth. I didn't really know what to expect when I began the first page. I just knew that by the time I'd reached the last word, something qualitatively significant and uniquely profound had been added and fused into my being."-Jeffrey Matthews, reformed prisoner"I really enjoyed this book. I live the fact that the Guna Yala province of Panama is represented! I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a good story."-Anthony Polanco, Panamanian-American, poetDo you really matter to this world? Can you actually make a difference? Born in the most remote, dangerous jungle on our planet, sisters Adora and Ali feel disconnected and unworthy. The world's unforgiving, and survival comes before personal aspirations. Then they meet Josh Navarro. He's stubborn and foolishly passionate, but with him they begin to grow from each other and take on more meaningful life paths. Their futures suddenly become uncertain when an infamous clan with a mysterious history threatens their lives and nature itself. They must decide whether to flee and seek safety-or push back against the unknown and risk everything. Beyonfire is boosted with first-person visuals and exposes the real darknesses and beauties hidden in humankind. Although there are some fantasy elements, many scenarios were inspired by real experiences, traumas, emotions, struggles, and insights. We've also added 3 Steps to Purpose, a helpful guide for you.Through experiencing Beyonfire and using our 3 Steps to Purpose guide, you'll: Have more life clarityWake up with more chargeBe braverBe more productiveBe more capableHave more life meaningYou'll start waking up with new eyes and a fuller charge.
