Binding with 6 inconspicuous worm marks on the edges as well as small traces of fraying on the unprinted last two leaves and on the inside cover, but overall a very good, authentic copy with beautiful patina and interesting provenance. - Extremely rare!

Criado en una familia luterana se convirtió al catolicismo y mįs tarde se hizo jesuita. Fue profesor de literatura, de humanidades y de retórica, y también predicador, don que le supuso una gran fama. 1 Blatt - Gestochene Titelseite - 1 Tafel mit Text auf der Rückseite - 53 Blätter - 1 Tafel - 1.362 S. - 22 Blätter - und - 45 sehr kuriose Tafeln (19 davon bilden das Alphabet). Korrekte vollständige Kopie, mit fleckigem Papier, aber sehr gute Platten. Pergamenteinband =Jeremiah Drexelius (Augsburg,1581 - München,1638) Deutscher Schriftsteller und Jesuit. In einer lutherischen Familie aufgewachsen, konvertierte er zum Katholizismus und wurde später Jesuit. Er war Professor für Literatur, Geisteswissenschaften und Rhetorik sowie Prediger, eine Gabe, die ihm großen Ruhm einbrachte.
