Né a Sedan, Marcel Drouet collabora à plusieurs revues : Le Divan, les Guêpes, et la Revue critique des Idées et des Livres. En 1911, il devient secrétaire général des Marches de l'Est. Cette revue fut fondée en 1909 par une poignée d'écrivains mobilisés contre le pangermaniste menaçant. Proche de Georges Ducrocq, Maurice Barrès, Paul Drouot, il publia deux ouvrages en 1912 : Quelques Feuillets du livre Juvénile et L'Ombre qui tourne. Il meurt mort au champ d'honneur, le4 janvier 1915 à Consenvoye (Meuse). Gabriel Eon (1883-1915) collabora à différentes revues poitevines avant de rejoindre à sa demande le 137e RI. Le 10 juin 1915, il fut touché par un éclat d'obus, ses dernières paroles furent : «Pour la France !». Il est le frère du poète André-Marie Eon mort au combat et de l'écrivain Francis Eon, seul survivant de la fratrie. Signé par l'auteur.
