Includes index. Very Good hardcover bound in publisher's original hessian cloth boards with illustration & lettering to front board, edges frayed as issued. Slight handling wear, front hinge tender, former owner's ink name to ffep, otherwise a nice clean tight copy. 191pp. Scarce volume.

Index, prev. owner's inscr to p.169, scattered spotting, new e.p.s., recased in cloth with orig. hessian front cover laid down, very good condn Edwin Greenslade Murphy (also known as Dryblower or Dryblower Murphy) was an Australian journalist and poet, born in Victoria in 1866. Following the gold rush of 1892 Murphy travelled to Western Australia, arriving in Coolgardie in 1894. The Coolgardie Miner was launched by Billy Clare with help from Murphy, who contributed a weekly column using the pen-name "Dryblower".
