[NONE] 2021. (Mass market paperback) As new. 24pp. 4to. Newspaper, periodical. Published by Light in the Attic, 49 years after the release of the incomparable Wille Dunn 'Creation Never Sleeps, Creation Never Dies' album released in 1972. Willie Dunn, along with Buffy Sainte-Marie, A. Paul Ortega, and Floyd Red Crow Westerman, brought fresh, new Indigenous perspectives and realities to traditional folk music. Dun remains one of the most important Indigenous singer-song writers of Turtle Island to have emerged in the turbulent 1960s. This paoer presents a detailed overview of one of Canada's great musical heroes, not anywhere near as recognized as he should be, and includes contributions from the Dunn family, Bob Robb, and Alanis Obomsawin. Drawings, black and white photographs, and a Willie Dunn portrait drawn by acclaimed Metis artist, Christi Belcourt. As new, very cool, and this writer suspects, as such, is scarce.
