[16], 207, [1] pp. Last page blank. 8vo: A - O8. 7" x 4-1/4" D'Urfey a prolific writer & composer, who was a "friend of Charles II and James II, [who] was still writing in the reign of Queen Anne, and was one of the most familiar figures of the day." A few leaves lacking corners [does not affect text, though such on E2 just touches page nos]. Ink spot to fore-edge & bottom edge. Withal, a solid VG copy. Period full calf boards with later respining to style. Eps renewed 1st edition thus, issue with Bullord imprint (NCBEL II, 762; Wing D-2711; cf. Wither-to-Prior 337, for the Parker & Roper imprint).

[10], 382 pp. Contains the plays "The Two Queens of Brentford", "The Grecian Heroine", "The Athenian Jilt", "Ariadne", "The Plague of Impertinence", and "Socrates and Timandra", as well as "Elegies, Poems, and New Songs". D'Urfey was a wit and versatile playwright of the Restoration and early Georgian era. Rubbing and some small abrasions to the calf. Rebacked. Browning to leaves.
