En el presente estudio, se recogieron cuatro aceites esenciales (aceite de Punga, aceite de sésamo, álbum de Santhalum y aceite de mostaza) y se investigó su actividad antibacteriana. Se observó la máxima actividad inhibidora en el aceite de Santhanathi en comparación con los demás aceites esenciales. El aceite de Santhanathi mostró la máxima zona de inhibición contra Bacillus cereus (46 mm), seguido de Shigella flexneri (45 mm), Staphylococcus aureus (44 mm), Salmonella typhi (42 mm), Klebsiella pneumoniae (40 mm) y Escherichia coli (30 mm). La zona de inhibición mínima se observó en Acetobacter baumani (20 mm). No se observó ninguna zona de inhibición en el control ciego de DMSO. Dans la présente étude, quatre huiles essentielles (huile de Punga, huile de sésame, album de Santhalum et huile de moutarde) ont été recueillies et leur activité antibactérienne a été étudiée. L'activité inhibitrice maximale a été observée dans l'huile de Santhanathi par rapport aux autres huiles essentielles. L'huile de Santhanathi a montré une zone d'inhibition maximale contre Bacillus cereus (46 mm), suivi de Shigella flexneri (45 mm), Staphylococcus aureus (44 mm), Salmonella typhi (42 mm), Klebsiella pneumoniae (40 mm) et Escherichia coli (30 mm). Une zone d'inhibition minimale a été observée chez Acetobacter baumani (20 mm). Aucune zone d'inhibition n'a été observée dans le contrôle aveugle au DMSO. In der vorliegenden Studie wurden vier ätherische Öle (Punga-Öl, Sesamöl, Santhalum album und Senföl) gesammelt und ihre antibakterielle Aktivität untersucht. Im Vergleich zu den anderen ätherischen Ölen zeigte das Santhanathi-Öl die höchste hemmende Wirkung. Das Santhanathi-Öl zeigte eine maximale Hemmzone gegen Bacillus cereus (46 mm), gefolgt von Shigella flexneri (45 mm), Staphylococcus aureus (44 mm), Salmonella typhi (42 mm), Klebsiella pneumoniae (40 mm) und Escherichia coli (30 mm). Die geringste Hemmungszone wurde bei Acetobacter baumani (20 mm) festgestellt. In der DMSO-Blindkontrolle wurde keine Hemmungszone festgestellt. Die Ergebnisse unserer Studie sprechen für die Möglichkeit, das ätherische Öl als natürliches antibakterielles Mittel in der Lebensmittel- oder Pharmaindustrie einzusetzen.
