First Edition. First edition, 8vo, pp. 56; 2 maps, 6 illustrations; original printed white wrappers; very good. Apparently a private publication and printed in a small edition, on an expedition to the Neora Valley in 1982 near the tri-junction of Sikkim, Bhutan, and North Bengal. "This book should not be taken as an official account of the Neora Valley Biosphere Reconnaissance 1982. It is a somewhat detailed description of my own role in the expedition. The official report has been compiled by the expedition's official organisers, the Himalayan Club (India)" (Preface). "Capt. (now Col.) Ajit Dutt was born on July 18, 1948. After completing his M.Sc in Physics, he joined the Army, where he is now a paratrooper of the Corps of Signals. Dutt is an avid mountaineer and a wildlife enthusiast. He was leader of the Buran expedition (Signals) in 1977 and member of the expedition to Falung peak in 1984, Mt. Shivling expedition in 1985, Everest expedition in 1985 and Palung expedition in 1988. Today, he is Principal of the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, one of the world's premier mountaineering institutions" (back wrapper). Not in Yakushi. Not found in OCLC.
