Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. xvi+362+[2 ad] pages. Octavo (8 1/4" x 5 1/2") bound in original publisher's pictorial wrappers. Foreword by Leslie Norris. Fourth printing. Here, too, are stories originally written for radio and television and, in a short appendix, the schoolboy pieces first published in the Swansea Grammar Sc…hool Magazine. A highpoint of the collection is Thomas's Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog, a vivid collage of memories from his Swansea childhood that combines the lyricism of his poetry with the sparkle and sly humor of Under Milk Wood. Also here is the fiction from Quite Early One Morning, a collection planned by Thomas shortly before his death. Altogether there are more than forty stories, providing a rich and varied literary feast and showing Dylan Thomas in all his intriguing variety-somber fantasist, joyous word-spinner, comedian of smalltown Wales. The book includes an entertaining, informative reflection on Thomas by another Welsh poet and storyteller, Leslie Norris, as well as a brief listing of publication details by Professor Walford Davies, editor of Dylan Thomas: Early Prose Works. Condition: Previous owner's name to front wrapper verso else very good.

Condition: New. Idioma/Language: Español. Dylan Thomas (Swansea, Gales, 1914 - Nueva York, 1953). Condition: New. Dust Jacket Condition: Nuevo. 01. Dylan Thomasen bizitza eta literatura ulertzeko giltzarria da Artistakume baten erretratua. Orrialde autobiografiko hauetan ageri da Thomasen mundua bere osotasunean eta bertan bizi dira, haur edo gazte jakin-min begizabal baten jiran, haurtzaroko eta gazte garaiko perts…onaiak eta lekuak. Imajinazioa eta errealitatea nahasten dituen haurra edo gaztea da hor ageri dena. Umotzen ari den idazle-nahi bat. Umotu, bi eratara, pertsona gisa eta idazle gisa. Maitatzen, estropezu egiten, eta, haztamuka ibili ondoren, lurretik altxatzen ikasten ari den artista kume bat da orrialdeotako Dylan gaztea, heldu, beharbada sekulan erabat heldu ez zen Thomas idazle handiaren begirada umoretsu eta ironikoaren bahean irazia.
