No Binding. Condition: Collectible-Fine. Original color printed postcard. No date, circa 1920s-1930s. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2." Title printed at the top of the image in the margin. Postcard is unused. Copyright information and the following are printed on the back: "Hotel Spokane and Silver Grill, Spokane, Washington; 'You'll Like This Hotel.'" Postcard is very clean and intact except for slight age toning. A Fine copy. Hotel Spokane first opened in 1890. This postcard shows the lavish dining room of the hotel's Silver Grill. The hotel and restaurant were once famous meeting spots for wealthy socialites and celebrities. The Silver Grill was known for its roast beef cooked on an open grill right in the dining room. In 1961, Hotel Spokane was acquired by Ridpath for its Ridpath Motor Inn. The original building of Hotel Spokane was subsequently demolished, and the Ridpath Motor Inn was built in its place and completed in 1963. The motor inn was part of the Ridpath complex. In 2008, the Ridpath Motor Inn and the rest of the Ridpath complex closed. Part of the motor inn was demolished in 2014 and the future of the site is unknown.
