All edges gilt. Slt mark to front cover, Edges boards slty rubbed of a little colour, tail edge spine ver slty frayed. Very slty shaken in…case, occas. slt text marking, Inscription on end paper reading "Joan Abbott, March 1907" but probably published circa 1890 as this has the Novello devices instead of the Dalziel ones, has no ads. and is in maroon cum brown cloth. Not that it matters much as most issues seem to be almost identical. With many fine woodcut illustrations printed by the Dalziel Brothers. A VERY pleasing copy. T.Dalziel E. Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester (1900-1974) was the third son of King George V and Queen Mary. He served as Governor-General of Australia from 1945 to 1947. One hundred humorous designs by E. Griset. Engraved by the Brothers Dalziel. Slight browning to front endpaper, very slight wear at internal hinges and slight rubbing to extremities, otherwise very good indeed. Decent copy.
