Hardcover. Condition: Fair. presumed first edition. Hardcovered with brown cloth and tan lettering and decoration on front cover. MUSTY! ! ! The covers are a bit soiled and worn, especially along edges and corners. There is some writing in the book- on front end pages is the previous owner's name along with her mother's name and lineage. On copyright page is written "written about 1944." The end pages are a bit smudged. A tight copy but MUSTY! ! ; Black and white ills from vintage photos; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 147 pages; The author portrays life in a small Indiana village during the 1880s. He also presents a history of his (Wasmuth) family through his father's experiences emigrating to the US and fighting in the Civil War with the Indiana 47th Volunteer Regiment and then his life in Roanoke after the war.
