Old ownership inscription of Rev. Thomas Pomp (1773-1852) of Easton, PA. *** Almost unique copy, just one location in Worldcat (Rutgers). The Church in Forsyth Street was built in 1822 for both Dutch and German Reformed parishioners. In 1834, the Dutch moved out to form their own parish, and the Church became German Reformed. In the following years, parts of the congregation tried to establish a Lutheran pastor, which led to serious trouble which was finally attempted to be resolved by the Philadelphia Classis in 1837.
