Once the devastation occurs, it can manifest itself in various forms: mood disorders, addictions and physical illnesses. Using sound biblical teachings, Stress: CLIMBING OUT OF ITS PITS WITH GOD examines stress and its impact as well as ways to handle it before it is too late. In addiction to finding ways to cope, you will also learn: How people react to stress and the many faces it wears. How addicitions intensify our reactions to stress. How religion can be a profound source of stess. How spirituality can combat the effects of stress. How anger, unforgiveness and sin contribute to stress. How God's love helps reduce our stress. Great illustrations of horses, hounds and the sort of people who rode after the fox in Regency England. While Napoleon triumphed in Europe, George Osbaldeston (1787-1866) was master of hounds at Brasenose College, Oxford, itself an institution with a notable sporting reputation. At the dawn of the railway age in 1831 he famously rode 200 miles in less than nine hours. It was a time when men were gentlemen and horses were transportation. The Squire was the best Sportsman of any age or Country. His greatest fame was as a master of hounds. His greatest failure was when he left the chase for the turf and lost more then 200,000 pounds in money of that day on racing. A fascinating story of his life & escapades. Truly a book for the Sportsman with wonderful illustrations. Twice Signed.

"Here we have the life of an average man, one who is not particularly noted as a performer, as a singer or storyteller might be, but who, at the age of seventy-four, decided to set down on paper some of the facts and experiences stored in his memory during his lifetime. As one of the oldest men now living who were born and bred in Harbour Buffett his knowledge of the history of the community is not only extensive but unique. His account is as frank and factual as it is vivid. He shares with many Newfoundlanders the strong sense of place, of belonging, both to the island and to his community." - Preface. xii, 262 p.
