Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Just Folks by Edgar A. Guest. Published by The Reilly & Lee Co., Chicago, 1917. Hardcover. A pleasing early 20th-century poetry collection by Edgar A. Guest, often referred to as the Peoples Poet, known for his accessible, sentimental verse that was widely read in newspapers and collected in popular book form during the 1910s and 1920s. This is a clean and attractive copy with a sharp, well-preserved cover. The boards remain bright and crisp, with only minor wear consisting of a small bump/ding to one corner and light fading to the spine. The exterior presents well overall. The interior is unmarked and clean, with normal age-related toning to the pages. Binding remains solid and the text block is tight. There are minor scuffs along the outer page edges at the front and bottom, consistent with shelf handling, but no impact to text. Overall, a highly presentable and well-preserved early printing of a popular poetry collection, uncommon in this clean condition.
