Condition: Very Good. First Edition. A curious piece. Finely bound in full green leather over boards with gilded borders, lettering and raised bands on the spine. Faded along spine and edges with some rubbing to the leather. "The Story of the Gold Plank / 1896," is the title on the cover. The only internal markings provide context for the binding and title; a single paragraph on page 17 is called out and is regarding the establishment of the gold standard plank in the St. Louis Republican Party and some of the rumors surrounding. The periodical is complete, including covers, and in fine internal condition with all pages, including dozens of contemporary advertisements and various stories of the time.
