This was to mark the visit of the touring MCC [England] team, led by M J K Smith, to South Africa. "Mike Smith Leads MCC Against a Rejuvenated South Africa" by Gordon Ross is the lead article, followed by bios of the tourists; some records and stats; and then bios of the leading South African cricketers of the time, some thereof with photographs. Booklet has been folded in the past, thus a crease from north to south; some marks on covers; a little wear and tear around edges.

Assumed to have been published by the editor, possibly as part of his South African Cricket Annual. Publication comprises: An Introduction of the New Zealanders by A H Carman, Editor of the New Zealand Cricket Almanack; biographies and photographs of the tourists; a photograph of the Melbourne Cricket Ground; the team to represent Natal Country Districts; an article entitled 'Natal v New Zealand'; some Natal pen pictures; and many advertisements. Corner-wear and oxidation on staples, but generally good+.

Book somewhat foxed throughout, a few other marks, but overall acceptable.

Contents include a comprehensive report of the Australians' tour of South Africa in 1957-8; Five Cricketers of the Year for both 1958 and 1959; South African Test and first-class records; a valuable Who's Who section; report on the Currie Cup years; 15th and 16th Nuffield Cricket Weeks; and reports on country, universities and women's cricket. Book inclined to foxing throughout, a few other marks, but overall perfectly acceptable.

An extremely well-produced 20-page pre-match official souvenir for the first-class cricket match between Natal and the Cavaliers led by Richie Benaud which took place on 1, 2 and 3 October, 1960 at Kingsmead, Durban. Assumed to have been published by the editor, possibly as part of his South African Cricket Annual. Publication comprises: Introduction by Ron Roberts, manager and organizer of the Cavaliers; biographies and pictures of the touring team (which included MJK Smith who scored a double-hundred in the match) and their Test records to that date; a photograph of the Natal Currie Cup team; career averages and pen pictures of the Natal team; an article 'The origins and early development of cricket in South Africa' by N S Curnow; and many advertisements. Slight creasing at top right corner and a tiny mark on rear cover, else very good++.
