Top edge is a (dulled) light green, and the remaining page fore-edges are very lightly 'toned' with some very light 'spotting' (pale small foxing) - fairly negligible and overall clean. In the original dust-jacket which has some surface wear/small chips/scrapes to the head/tail of the spine, and some general light edge-wear with some small losses mainly to the bottom edge. A former owner's name and address in ink nest to the remains of an old price sticker on the top of the inner front flap of the d/j. Inside the book, however, there are NO Inscriptions or major marks, a little light yellowing/offsetting to the endpapers but generally internally this is a VERY clean, tight and bright copy. (xii) + 308 pages Plus the full page illustrations (unpaginated) = 57 pages of b/w photographs, and 20 b/w diagrams/line drawings in the text. The Achilles Club chose a team of 19 to write this book - each man has written a chapter on his particular event - these athletes include 5 Olympic Champions and 5 Olympic finalists.
