Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Christmas 1930. Included with the book is the business card of Thomas E. Donnelley, President of the Company at that time. The card shows about a 1/4 inch line of age toning on the right side of the card. The card states "With the Compliments of the Season" and presumably was sent with the book to its first owner. The dark red covers have sharp lettering on the spine and a quite sharp R. R. Donnelley emblem on the front cover as well as decorative bordering. No bookplates or ownership names or stamps, no foxing, no smudges, no folded or dogeared pages, not ex-libris, no underlining, no highlighting. Top edge is gilded and is still bright. There is wear at the head and tail of the spine and at corners. The work itself has been protected for the last two decades by a clear archival quality cover that is easily removeable. A quite nice copy, available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box!
