Collected short stories for children intended mainly to amuse. Illustrated with engravings throughout, plus a hand colored frontis plate. Red cloth with gilt spine lettering and decoration, 240 pages. Covers heavily rubbed and spotted with surface tear to the front joint, chipped corners and spine ends, hinges good, text block sound but no longer tight, pages a bit age-toned with occasional little finger smudges to the edges, endpapers unevenloy aged with pencil notation dated 1860 on front free endpaper, no other markings. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair/No. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
