Industrieller; zunächst deutscher Diplomat und später, nach Heirat mit Bertha Krupp, Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender der Friedrich Krupp AG, Kuratoriumsvorsitzender der Adolf-Hitler-Spende der deutschen Wirtschaft, 1937 Wehrwirtschaftsführer. 1940 verlieh ihm Hitler das Goldene Parteiabzeichen der NSDA./ Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach was a German industrialist who assumed sole ownership of Krupp and augmented his empire by seizing property in every country conquered by Germany. His Ukrainian plants were exporting to Bulgaria, Turkey and Rumania. When financier Robert Rothschild refused to sign over his French holdings to Alfred, Rothchild was shipped to Auschwitz concentration camp and gassed. Together with his exploitation of slave labor, put Alfried Krupp in the prisoners' dock at the Nürnberg war-crimes trials after the war. He was sentenced to twelve years in prison and confiscation of all his assets.
