Brown cloth boards underneath the clean and show only minor edge wear/bumps. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight, no signatures o…r bookplates, no handwriting found. The text pages are clean but the end pages do show some spotting and foxing. The second front end page is stamped in the corner "This book is given to your library in the hope that your pupils were read it, to understand what early pioneers had to overcome in building this country of ours.". Even though this notice, presumably from the author, states the book was given to a library, there are no library markings present.

This book shares the story of the author's pioneer mother, recounting her family's westward travels, which were mostly in covered wagons.
