Based on the 1927 novel by Francois Mauriac, about a woman in a loveless relationship who plans to kill her husband by gradually increasing his medication to induce an overdose. Set in the Landres, and shot on location in Gironde and Paris. 9.5 x 7.25 inches, with a wide bottom margin. Near Fine. Grant France.

Maître Gérane (Jean Galland) has his troublesome son François (Jean-Pierre Mocky) committed to a mental hospital.
