Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. pp: 394. FIRST EDITION. Green pictorial dust jacket, dark green cloth covered boards. The diaries, which make up the largest part of the book, are a meticulously kept record of the author's five years of service in the Rhodesian war, serving with the 2nd Bn of Rhodesian African Rifles. According to his diary, Dennison was deployed in Rhodesia twenty-five times. He was a former SAS member, and saw action in several hot spots, including Northern Ireland. It was probably difficult for a black soldier in such a place. In a way, it's a shame his diary didn't start with his recruitment into the SAS. The book is illustrated with many photographs, and maps.
