Color and black-and-white photographs; Oblong 8vo.; 224 pages A number of units serving in Vietnam issued unit histories which were given to soldier when they departed country. This is in mint condition and still in the original box as issued. This has a short history of the 25th Division from the time its predecessors (elements of the 4th Cavalry and MacKenzie's Raiders were sent to Hawaii to build Schofield Barracks) where they became the Hawaiian Division and ultimately until 1941 when the Hawaiian Division was renamed the 25th Division. Pages 12-23 briefly summarizes the distinguished history of this decorated unit through WWII and Korea. The rest of the book is the history of the 25th in Vietnam. The 25th had five Medal of Honor winners. Those who paid the ultimate price are listed alphabetically. This is the history of one of our most distinguished units and in exceptionally fine condition. I hope that whoever should purchase this item, I hope that he will treasure it and that it passes to a son or daughter who will in tern, treasure and that son or daughter will be brought much closer to their father.…
