Hardcover, bound in blue leather, with four raised bands on the spine in a slip case which has light edge and corner wear. 1322 pages, notes, chronology, glossary. The top edge of the pages are in gilt. There is spotting on the endpapers, and a light spotting on the side and bottom page edges. There is a dedication on the front endpaper. Contents appears unread. This book is in excellent condition, looks like new! Blue marbled endpapers. The front and back boards have gold borders with scroll work decoration on each corner, and a large gold circular decoration in the middle. The spine has gold dot decoration on the raised bands, with gold lettering and cartouche on the central panel. The board edges are decorated with small gold lines and dots. There is a very feint bump (hardly noticeable) on the top corner of the back board. Ninth printing. The name, "Bennett N.Y." appears in small gold lettering at the bottom of the front board, on the inside, below the marbling. I think this may be the name of a bookbinder for a special edition? Book.
