Number XXIV of 100 copies of the cased deluxe edition; numbers 1 to 75 were for sale, numbers I to XXV were for presentation. Tipped in as a frontispiece to this edition is an original wood engraving by Lionel Lindsay, 'Henry Lawson, the Swagman and His Dog' (89 × 79 mm). It was 'first printed as a bookplate, now reissued and authenticated by Peter Lindsay', here signed in pencil in the bottom margin of the underlying card mount by Lionel Lindsay's son, and Josef Lebovic (who printed the engraving from the original woodblock).
