Add to basketThis is a very nice example of the Official History France and Belgium 1915 volume one map case. This is the is the original first published in 1927 The maps cover situations and actions from 10th March to 24th May 1915 The book case is not ex lib and has no markings. All 13 maps are present and in very clean fine condition. The map case is clean internally and externally is tight . There is a 1cm tear at the bottom of the flap but no loss The front of the case is slightly bowed inward due to the fact internal area has more space than is taken up by the maps The gilt titling on the spine is clear and bright The spine cloth has a bit of wrinkling at the top and bottom Altogether a very pleasing copy.

Add to basketThis is the Scarce and desirable original Map Case of the 1916 volume One of the France and Belgium First World War Official British history Covering the start of the Battle of the Somme. This volume is not ex lib and has no markings All 12 large coloured maps are present and in near fine condition. The map case is clean and tight with just a small 1 cm tear at the bottom of the flap and a small dinge towards the bottom of the front outer board. Internally the case is clean and bright but has a small water satin at the bottom of the inner flap. Externally the rear board has some sun fading and the front spine has some fading but the gilt titling is still clear. The top and bottom of the spine have a little dimpling. The case shuts cleanly with a pleasing tight motion and sound.
