In 1994, Michael Parker, in the journal Printing History, presented compelling evidence that Burgess deserves designing credit for the world's most popular font, Times New Roman. His one published volume of poetry, The Eternal Laughter and Other Poems, while not popular with the public, received critical acclaim among fellow poets of his day. RBR13.

A very scarce atlas comprised of hand-coloured maps engraved by nineteenth century engraver Thomas Starling. The atlas lacks the title page and the first fifteen maps. Starling issued the small format Family Cabinet Atlas to recover from bankruptcy, and was later elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Undated. Dated using JISC from the estimates of the British Library. Rebound in a green cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Lightly rubbed to the boards and and a little discoloured to the spine, with a small tear in the cloth to the tail of the spine. The front hinge has failed, and the cloth in the spine is on visible. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are a little age-toned but clean throughout. Good Only. book.
