This Spanish-language publication was issued by the German government during the years of the Third Reich to promote tourism in the county. The publication is profusely illustrated throughout… with photographic reproductions and drawings in b/w. This issue includes articles promoting the wintery landscape and winter sports of the area of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in the Bavarian Alps, where the then recent 1936 Winter Olympics were held, as well as the 20th anniversary of the German railway catering company Mitropa, the anniversary of the death of English-German racial philosopher Houston Stewart Chamberlain, and articles on the Carnival celebrations in the country. Include images taken by infamous Nazi photographer and publisher Heinrich Hoffmann. Striking art deco front cover design by German designer Ottomar Anton, back cover by Edwin Henel. Wrappers with light foxing to the front cover, and moderate foxing the back cover. Book block dis-bound from wrappers. Interior wrappers with foxing, as well as title page. The rest of the pages are quite clean, save for some minor sporadic smudges, and minor age toning. Wrappers in good+, interior in very good condition overall.
