Giovanni Croese trat 1824 mit dem Ordensnamen Franz in den Kapuzinerorden ein, wo er in Genua als Almosensammler, in der Küche und als Krankenpfleger arbeitete. Die Menschen nannten den charismatischen Mann Padre San…to, heiligen Pater. Er starb, weil er sich bei der Betreuung von Cholerakranken angesteckt hatte. Franz wurde 1929 selig- und am 9. Dezember 1962 durch Papst Johannes XXIII. heiliggesprochen. Zustand: Einband minimal berieben, Ecken und Kanten kaum bestoßen. Innen: Buchschnitt leicht angestaubt, kleiner alter Besitzerstempel (Convent St. Augustin) auf dem Vorsatzblatt, sonst sehr sauber, wohl gepflegt und tadellos erhalten. Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 550 Kl.8°(Klein- Oktav- Format bis 18,5 cm.) Hellgrüner Original- Kartoneinband, flexibel, Klammerbindung mit Vorderdeckel- Beschriftung.
