Die aus dem Humanismus stammenden Elemente der antiken Mythologie im Text und die Bilderrahmen mit Bandornamentik weisen beide Züge der Spätrenaissance auf. Am Anfang des Buches zeigt das Frontispiz (fehlend) eine allegorische Komposition des Grazer Stechers Johann Caspar Mannasser, und aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach hat er auch die ganze unsignierte Serie verfertigt. Die 15 gleichmässig verteilte Bilder knüpfen ohne Ausnahme an bestimmte dieser ca 120 Mirakeltexte , die den grösseren Teil des Buches bilden. Diese Texte waren zugleich die unmittelbaren Quellen der Darstellungen. Die Serie ist aber keine systematische Umsetzung von vereinzelt gebotenen Votivbildern, da im Text gemalte Votivtafeln ausserst selten erwahnt werden. Der Stecher hat regelmassig die sog. typischen Notsituationen ausgewahlt, die meistens durch ihre Attraktivität eine gute Möglichkeit zur Darstellung geboten haben. Die Illustrationen haben in der Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts zu den Wandmalereien der Klosterkirche von Zágrábremete ( Zagra Remete ) als unmittelbare Vorlage gedient.
