Likely First Edition with no additional dates on the copyright page. The book is bound in gold color cloth with title and author stamped in gilt on the front cover and spine. Spine has darkened . Very light wear on the corners and spine caps softened with tiny tear in the cloth at the head. Name of previous owner on the front paste-down. Otherwise, pages are clean, smooth and unmarked. Illustrated with diagrams, tables and photographs in black and white.220 pages including a bibliography. The author was a German scientist, founder of biodynamic agriculture and student of Rudolf Steiner. His work influenced the development of organic farming. Pfeiffer did testing and development of Steiner's "Agriculture Course of 1924" . When WWII broke out Pfeiffer moved to the United States and continued advocacy of biodynamic agriculture.
