Damage to bottom of first p. 24 and opposite when separated. Postscript by P. R. Stephensen.

Condition: Very good. - Small quarto, 10 inches high by 8-1/4 inches wide. Black & white wraps bound with silk cord. The top front corners of both covers are creased. 49 & [9] pages printed in the Italian Cloister Script on Azure laid paper made in Tasmania. The printer's device decorates the first leaf. Very good. Of a stated signed limited edition of 1,000 numbered copies, it is sthought that only about 300 copies were actually printed. Signed by Albin Eiger with his initials.

Von 1949 bis 1951 war er Professor an der Universität Kabul, ging 1952 nach Australien und gründete dort 1958 die "Wattle Grove Press". Henkl veröffentlichte u. a. die Gedichtbände 'Ich bin es. Verse von Vererbung und Dekadenz' (1916), 'Neun Sonette auf Venedig' (1918), 'Fernostfahrt. Eine Hymne' (1938) und 'The swallow flower' (1959) sowie das Fachbuch 'Philology-linguistics.
