Stefan Eins, who founded Fashion Moda in 1978, had moved to NYC from Austria in 1968 and opened a space on Mercer Street called the Stefan Eins Store to show his art in 1973, and other artists such as Sherrie Levine, Susan Hiller and Willoughby Sharp from 1974-1977. This archive contains ephemera for his own shows in 1973-1974, including: 1) Stefan Eins Store 3 Mercer Street from Oct 20 1973 mailed card; 2) Stefan Eins March 1974 Press Release for sale of Crowbars and Pulleys at 3 Mercer Street; 3-4) gelatin silver print of Stefan Eins with Crowbar (2 labels were once affixed to front of photo: his name and 3 Mercer Street address in type and in his phonetic handwriting) and white announcement card; 5) Stefan Eins 3 Mercer Street Store Crobars, Pulleys, FogNov 21- Dec 7 1974 black invite card; 6) Stefan Eins Nov 1974 Press release for Nov 21-Dec 7 exhibit; very good condition; except the 2 folded and lightly creased press releases have museum library stamps to front side.
