Hardcover. Condition: Good. L. W. Singer Co (A Carousel Book) [Published date: 1968], Hard cover, 48 pp. No other printings listed. In good+ condition/ NO dust jacket. Illustrated boards have light bumping to edges and corners and a tiny bit of fraying to the top and bottom of spine and corner tips. Light overall scuffing and soiling to covers as well. Binding tight. Pages lightly aged but otherwise unmarked. NOT Ex-library. NO remainder marks. Charming illustrations by George Porter. The story of a young girl's bond with an intrepid basset hound. After being saved from drowning in the pond one day, "Aunt Mary" refuses to stay away from her savior and new best friend, Megan, getting both of them into quite a bit of trouble. But Aunt Marie's undying devotion and determination end up saving the day. A wonderful story about the powerful connection between children and dogs with absolutely charming illustrations by George Porter.
