41x17 cm. Original 1/2 sheep with marbled boards, worn at edges. 88 pages of manuscript entries, with many blank leaves at back. This appears to be the sales book for a tailor in western Maine, with many of the entries are for cutting cloth or making a vest or pants. There are also entries for various other items such as produce, the rental of a wagon or sleigh, plowing of gardens, etc. The name of Silas Elden is written inside the front cover and on an invoice laid in for School District No. 4. There is no location for the maker given, but on various pages there are references to Saco, Biddeford, Buxton, Harrison and other towns in western Maine.
