Boards are rubbed to the corners with general surface wear. Binding is shaken (some looseness to the boards, with cracking to the board end papers). Juvenile pen mark to one page and possible crayon to another, but could be part of original illustration, though the illustrations remain clean and bright. No pages missing. A complete but worn example of this increasingly scarce title in the Bumble series.

There is a 1 cm X 5 cm chip off the top edge of the front cover, a 1 cm chip off the top edge of the spine, wear on the cover corners and a closed tear on the bottom back edge of the spine. Very large, thinner book, shiny yellow cloth with beautiful illustration of child angel holding a candle on the front, black lettering very fine on spine, decorations of wreaths and angels inside covers and adjacent end papers, 96 pages, profusely illustrated with drawings, text and prayers based on the Catholic Bible. DJ paper, light blue and white background, white portions very slightly browned, illustration of child angel in front of cross on front and back. DJ has slight wear to top front tip, small chip at top front edge near spine, thin long chip and two 1/4" tears at bottom front edge, small chip at spine top and bottom edge, very small chip at bottom back edge, tiny tear at top back bookfold edge. The story of Highland Bumble begins some weeks before Easter - the season of Spring - but it is then one long glorious (summer) party appropriately enough after the grueling hardships of Snow Bumble.
