Covers are clean and intact overall but have dampstaining on back, slight fading and age toning to plate on front cover, small spots of discoloration, rubbing (which appears as mottled spots in some places), and slight wear to extremities. A Good copy. This is a charming collection of nursery rhymes. An index in front lists the rhymes alphabetically by the first word of the first line of each rhyme. A brief introduction (about one and a half pages) in front and the Notes in back give information about the historical provenance of some of the rhymes. Classics such as "Old King Cole," "Little Miss Muffett," "Little Boy Blue," "London Bridge," "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary," "Jack and Jill," "and "Little Bo Peep" are included as well as numerous lesser-known nursery rhymes.
