Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust jacket included. First edition. Noller, Ella M.: THE NAZARINI: A Missionary Story. Grand Rapids, Michigan: Wm. B. Eerdmans, 1942. First Edition. Near Fine hardcover, in very mildly edge-worn dustwrapper. A missionary in Africa encounters cannibal Leopard Men, a python worshipping cult, a Muslim sheik, and a tyrannical Oxford-educated would-be dictator of all Yaounde in the heart of the continent. This is pure pulp with a Christian protagonist. It needs forgiveness for unquestioned racism of its day, as does the majority of action pulp adventure of the era, but accidentally reveals a lot about attitudes of the times while delivering a thrilling adventure.
