Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. A hard-to-find 19th century book of nature-based poetry by assorted poets. Book greatly enhanced in black-and-white drawings with some full-page. A few tiny flecks to hardcover boards and a 1 3/4" x 3" piece of the front endpaper mysteriously scissor-cut out. No date of pubiication given but the inked Christmas gift inscription on same front endpaper is dated "1890". LG2.

Hardcover. Condition: Poor. 6 color plates (including fronts), black & white illustrations, unpaginated. Pictorial boards backed in green cloth. 26cm. Edges heavily rubbed. Contents quite shaken and becoming detached in several places. Appears to have been the second of these "Dutton's Annual.".

Hardcover. no date, but appears to be around 1880. Hardback 48 stiff board pages Contains poems by: Graham R Thompson, Theo. Gift, E Nesbit, Geo Clausen, Clifton Bingham and Helen J Wood. Superb drawings throughout of nostalgic scenes from the old days. Some seam rips at edge of spine, with bumped spine corners; embossed illustrated cover, extremely attractive. Minor smudging on front free endpaper. Interior is in fine condition: clean & crisp; no marks, tears, or folded corners; tight binding. In exceptionally good condition.

Hardcover with plain teal cloth spine and paper-covered boards, front board is illustrated, 12 color chromolithograph plates by Harriett M. Bennett are tipped-in and every page contains illustrations, pages not numbered, about same format as Chatterbox, covers show scratches rub marks and some slight soiling, corners rubbed, edges rubbed, cloth worn somewhat at spine ends and along hinges, a few pages show minor smudges, sewn binding slightly loose but not too bad, crack to paper at inside hinges, published by Ernest Nister and E. P. Dutton in London and New York, no date, late 1800's, the number 4318 is printed small at bottom of front cover, generally a half-way decent clean semi-tight copy of this late 19th Century children's book. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

A collection of children's poems by various authors, a few of which are: Jane Taylor, Mary Howitt, Hannah Gould, M.A. Browne, Herrick, Mrs. Follen, etc. Contents are shaken, binding is loose; one page of Table of Contents is not present. 1/2 cloth on marbled boards, with cloth over spine not present. Top 1/2" cut from top of title page, without loss. An uncommon book.
