This is the uniquely designed brochure cum catalogue published in conjunction with a November 1962 Los Angeles gallery exhibition of fourteen paintings and works on paper executed by Jasper Johns between 1957 and 1962. The show - billed here as a retrospective - was the artist's first West Coast showing, and this is Johns' very first monographic publication. A most handsome example of this uncommon (only five copies are currently cited in OCLC WorldCat) ephemeral item showing a small brown spot near the bottom of the front panel. Artist Monograph.
